1927 – 2007

Together Again

Mom passed away peacefully at her daughter’s house on June 8, 2007. She is now back with the love of her life, Pat, who preceded her in death on May 20, 2000. She was born January 30, 1927 in Missouri to Pearl and Van Gargas. She married Charles Williams, they later divorced. In 1956 she met Pat and they moved to Tulsa, Okla. and in 1957 they were married there. They raised two children, Brenda Knutson (Brown) and Roy Brown. She enjoyed her five grandkids and her seven great-grandkids (two on the way). In 1962 our family moved back to Utah (where dad was born) to be close to family and so mom could continue her government job at Tooele Army Depot. She worked there until her medical retirement in 1973. Mom enjoyed crocheting. She crocheted an American flag for the Procurement Director at the depot, and for the Eagles Lodge, of which she was a member. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her only sister, her husband and many family members and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 13 at 1 p.m. at Tate Mortuary where friends may visit with the family from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service. Interment in the Grantsville City Cemetery.
