The Tooele Valley Tennis Club will host a round robin tournament on Saturday at 8 a.m. at the Tooele High School courts to establish a summer challenge ladder. All ages and both genders are invited to participate.
Junior Stallions
The Junior Stallion summer basketball camp will be held Monday through Wednesday at Stansbury High School. Those in grades K-fourth will play from 10 a.m. to noon and those in grades fifth through eighth will play from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $25 which includes T-shirt. The annual Jr. Buff Basketball camp is scheduled for June 29, 30, July 1 and July 2 at Tooele High gyms. Students in grades first through fourth will meet from 9 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. and students in grades fifth through eighth will meet from noon to 2:15 p.m. Cost is $25 which includes a T-shirt. THS volleyball camp
For girls attending Tooele High School, a volleyball camp will be held June 22-25 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at THS. The cost is $100 and girls can register at the finance office at THS. Daniel McKean, 3A coach of the year will be running the camp. For more information call Kristi Brown at 843-7291.

Golf tournament
The second annual Primary Children’s Golf Tournament will be held at Oquirrh Hills Golf Course on Friday, June 26 with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. All proceeds go to Primary Children’s Hospital. The format is a four-person scramble and cost is $50 per team for 18 holes with cart. There will be two hole-in-one prizes set up on two holes. Ute football signups
Tooele Ute Football signups for all ages 8-14 will be held at Tooele High School on June 25 from 6-8 p.m., June 27 from 8-11 a.m., July 9 from 6-8 p.m., and July 18 from 8-11 a.m. If you are a new player to Tooele please bring a copy of your birth certificate. THS softball
Tooele High softball is holding workouts for all students interested in playing softball next year at THS. Workouts will be each Wednesday night from 7-9 p.m. in the THS small gym until July 22. Dusk to Dawn tennis
The annual Grandma Bernadine’s Dusk to Dawn tennis tournament will be held on July 3 at the Grantsville High School tennis courts. Twilight Tennis for ages 13 and under will begin at 4 p.m. Dusk-to-Dawn play for ages 14 and older will begin at 7 p.m. Cost for Twilight Tennis will be $5 an cost for Dusk-to-Dawn tennis will be $10. All proceeds will be donated to the Utah Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Ray Barrus 5K
Grantsville’s annual Ray Barrus Memorial 5K race will be held July 4. Registration fee is $15 through Friday, June 25. Late registration is $20. The children’s one-mile race fee is $10 through June 25 and $15 thereafter. Runners can register at Grantsville City Hall, 429 E. Main St., the home of Brad Sutton, 282 S. Cooley St. or online at www.raybarrusmemorialrace.wordpress.com. The 12-under one-mile starts at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K run starts at 8 a.m. Bus pick up will begin 30 minutes prior to each race. Participants are encouraged to get their race numbers on Friday, July 3 at Williams Family Drug, 124 W. Main St. between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Number pick up will also begin at 6:30 a.m. at the corner of Cherry and Quirk Streets, which is also the bus pick up for the runners. Kiwanis 5K Freedom Run
The Tooele July 4 race begins at 8:30 a.m. near the LDS church at 777 East Skyline Drive. Runners are urged to sign up in advance at Macey’s, Century 21 or Prudential. A Tooele High School girls basketball camp will be held July 13-16 at the THS gym from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The camp is for girls entering ninth-12th grades next year. Cost is $30 per camper.
