After graduation from Tooele High School in 1972, he enlisted into the United States Navy and served for eight years. After completing his Navy schools, he went on to make several tours aboard a fast attack nuclear submarine the USS George Bancroft (SSBN 643). He earned a BS in Geology from the University of Utah, a Masters in Geo-Physics from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, and was working toward his PhD in Geo-Hydrology at the University of California Davis until he became too sick to continue.
He is survived by his mother Elna Ketcherside, wife Teresa, children Eric (Tricia), Loni, Greg, Kris, Alan, Paul, Kelly and Carol (twins), and Alex, two grandchildren Sean and Avery. Brother B.C. (Lianne) Williamson Jr., sisters Laurie (Greg) Mills and Cindy Snyder. Uncle Dale Bevan and aunts Anona (William) Selby and Karen (David) Gladden and many nieces, nephews, and cousins
Preceded in death by father, Billie Coleman Williamson Sr; grandparents John and Daisy Rebecca Williamson and Joseph and Pearl Marie Bevan; stepson Jay Paul Nekeferoff; infant daughters Diane and Mindy; infant aunt Anita Bevan, uncle Donald Williamson and aunt Gloria Williamson Ivie.
Funeral services were held in Woodland Calif., on Dec. 4, 2008 at 4 p.m. at the Woodland Second Ward. Interment will be held at a later date at the Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery, Dixon Calif.
