Tooele County Director of Adult and Aging Services Butch Dymock has resigned following allegations he slapped a kitchen worker at the Tooele County Senior Citizens Center.

Tooele City Police Chief Ron Kirby said his department investigated the incident, which occurred on June 29, after being called by a county employee. A police report was submitted to the city attorney’s office, but no charges have been filed yet.

“There was a disagreement over food preparation,” Kirby said, declining to divulge further information.

Dymock tendered his resignation the day after the incident, according to Tooele County Commissioner Bruce Clegg.

Clegg said the information he has received about the incident is minimal, but from what he can tell Dymock’s resignation was not directly related to the alleged slapping.

When Dymock called Clegg informing him of his resignation, Clegg said he thought Dymock was simply trying to take advantage of retirement legislation that expired at the end of June.

“I absolutely believe his retirement has been in the works for a while,” Clegg said.

Clegg had not yet received the police report, but said from the information he did have he didn’t see that the situation was serious enough to warrant firing Dymock had he not stepped down.

“We weren’t considering terminating him,” Clegg said.

Leslie Nigh has temporarily taken over Dymock’s position until another director can be found, she said. The position has been officially open since July 1.

“We’re just going to carry on the same way we’ve been carrying on,” Nigh said.

LOL! Liberals are so easy to predict.

I knew my Oblame-a slam would make at least 2 libs whine/snivel. I'm shocked I wasn't called racist! ( Rule # 1 for the feeble minded)

Did you hear that sweeping sound? it was Joe Schmo's complaint going under the rug.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

If you don't think the good ol boy club is alive and well in Tooele, then you where born yesterday with a large glass of kool-aid in you hand.

Gulible bunch arn-cha!

Anything_but_liberal -- I see you are drinking from the same Kool-Aid being spewed by the MSM. This is still a democracy, whether you choose to believe it or not.

Get the facts before you make a fool of yourself again.

Anything_but_liberal, were you born yesterday?

I personally have known Mr. Dymock for some time now. He wouldn't hurt a fly. These are mere allegations of a situation blown out of proportion. The Bulletin/media not helping the situation any.

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? So far as we know there are no charges presented and yet you want to "hang'em high" and defame the Commissioner and County Officials at the same time.

Take some time and figure out who or what you are.

Mr Glegg is running in Oblame-a mode, he must think we are all stoopid also. Mr. Glegg, please stop lying to the citizens of this county.

Once again America will pick & choose who to prosecute and pick & choose what laws to enforce.

If Joe Shmoe slaps a co-worker he would go to jail and we all know it.

Lets see if our elected officials will step up to the plate or did we waste our money... AGAIN.
