The letter to the editor titled “Trucks leaving unwanted trail,” in the Sept. 11 edition of the paper, is just the start of unsafe things from the gravel pits in Stockton to the road leading to the Tooele County Landfill. This area, at times, has lots of dust blowing, which makes it hard to see at night, especially with big lights at the pits and car lights. These conditions make it hard to look for the deer crossing the road and make it hard to drive safely. When winter comes, the road conditions in this area will be even worse. People need to slow down and the county needs to look into how to better these conditions.
