Lena Emily Anderson Brown peacefully passed away on Feb. 2, 2008, she faithfully endeavored to the end with grace and humor.
Lena was born Nov. 26, 1915, in Grantsville, to Charles J. and Rennie Clark Anderson. She spent her youth in Grantsville and later attended Utah State.
After attending school she moved to California where she met Edward (Bud) Brown. They were married Jan. 4, 1939. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
They moved to Grantsville where they owned and operated the Donner Motel.
Lena was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served along with her husband in the Spanish extraction program. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She is survived by her children, Susanna (Charles) Johnson of Washington D.C., Stephen (Sue) Brown of Grantsville, Cindy (Conrad) of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Roger Brown of Dundee, Ore.; 16 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, June; brothers, Lee and Allan Kay; and daughter-in-law, Sally Brown.
Funeral services will be held Feb. 6, 2008, at 11 a.m., in the Grantsville West Stake Center, 115 E. Cherry St. A viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Grantsville City Cemetery.
