Our sweet mother, Maxine, passed away on Oct. 2, 2007, at the age of 90, of natural causes.

She was born in Hardin, Mont., on Sept. 16, 1917, the only daughter of Ray and Eula Prine. She married James H. Sullivan on May 12, 1935, and raised their four children in Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota as she followed her husband's work as a crane operator building dams along the Missouri River.

Her life revolved around serving her family and others with love. We are sure that she will continue that same compassionate service after a joyous reunion with those who went on before her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Rena Rae Griffin and Karen M. Anderson; brother, Verle; and great-granddaughter, Hannah Anderson. She is survived by her son, James (Nancy) Sullivan; daughter, Vonda (Jerry) Downard; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at the LDS Gordon Lane Ward chapel in Stansbury Park. She will be buried in Hardin, Mont., beside her husband and parents on Monday Oct. 8.
