pitcher Brennan Hollows on Friday
The Grantsville baseball team split a pair of games last week blasting Delta 12-2 on Thursday and losing 5-0 to Wasatch on Friday.
Grantsville starting pitcher T.J. Sieh allowed only two runs on five hits Thursday during the five-inning victory against the Rabbits.
The Cowboys, meanwhile, pounded out 15 hits in the game with extra-base hits from Mark White, Dalton Barney and Tyson Hutchins. White belted a triple while Barney and Hutchins ripped doubles in the game.
The Cowboys scored two in the first inning, six in the second and four in the fourth to bury the Rabbits.
In a home game on Friday, Wasatch's Brennan Hollows fired a two-hitter against the Cowboys en route to a 5-0 shutout in a seven-inning game.
After four scoreless innings, Wasatch scored three in the fifth inning and two in the seventh inning to escape with a victory. Grantsville pitcher Brandon Hamatake pitched a shut out through the first four innings.
The Cowboys are 3-5 on the year with three losses against strong competition in St. George earlier this month, a loss to No.1-ranked Judge Memorial and the loss to Wasatch.
Grantsville plays at Tooele today and hosts Juan Diego on Wednedsay.
