Driving refresher course needed

I am writing because I am confused and enraged — something President Bush calls "conraged." On Main Street, each side has two lanes and a shared turning lane in the middle marked in yellow with dashes and solid lines. It is to be used when a vehicle needs to enter a business establishment or residence on the other side of the street. You should spend as little amount of time in this lane and only enter it directly to make your turn. What you can't do is stop in it when exiting a business or residence. This causes more accidents than you can believe. Another car-related issue is discourtesy. Why would you, in your car mind you, do things that you wouldn't do while walking on the sidewalk? Would you just stop in the sidewalk if you knew someone was behind you? Would you cut in front of someone that was walking? Next I would like to remind people a blinker is a bar on the left side of the steering wheel that controls the turn signals on your vehicle. Defensive driving only works so well when you have people who do not convey their intentions on the road. Lastly, drivers need to slow down around school zones. Twenty miles per hour means 20 miles per hour. By going faster you are saying you do not care about children's lives. Something has to be done about our driving issues in Tooele. We aren't getting any smaller.
